I am a writer, speaker and activist. My work covers disability rights, chronic illness culture and health equity.

I enjoy using solutions journalism to explore systemic problems and the people working to solve them. My writing has featured on the ABC, Refinery29, Public Herald and ZeeFeed. I’m a regular contributor to Hireup’s news platform where I share my opinions.

In 2021 I produced a TV segment for the ABC about how businesses who invest in disability employment perform better. Last year, I wrote an essay for Refinery29 positioning Long Covid as a feminist issue and calling on the Australian Government to address it. I’ve facilitated panels, spoken at conferences and appeared on national TV talking about disability rights.

My background is in strategic communications. I spent 15 years working as a senior consultant with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Commonwealth Bank, Bankwest and PwC. I’ve worked in Perth, Sydney, London and New York.

I have a Bachelor of Mass Communications from Curtin University and a Foundations of Directorship qualification with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

I live with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
